Create Partitions In USB Flash Drive

You can create multiple partitions and store your private data Into Flash USB Drive. Only the first partition will be visible, and the other partitions will not show up on any other PC, but your own.and also you can avoid viruses affecting this data when plugged in on another computer. So to create partitions

Follow The Step As Given Below:
-Plug in your pen drive into your PC’s USB port. Next, right-click on ‘My Computer’ and click on ‘Manage’ in the context menu. Click on ‘Device Manager’ on the left pane. This will show all the hardware devices connected to your PC. Now, on the right pane, scroll down to ‘Disk Drives’ and you should see your pen drive connected here. Right-click on the pen drive and select ‘Properties’.

-In the properties window that just opened, click on the ‘Details’ tab. From the scroll down menu under ‘Property’, choose ‘Device Instance Path’. You should see a string of characters highlighted in the ‘Value’ window below, which should read something like ‘USBSTORDISK&VEN_&PROD…..’ Right-click on this value and select ‘Copy’. Now close all the windows without saving changes.
-Now open the folder that you uncompressed after downloading the universal USB flash drive driver. In this folder, find and open the file named ‘cfadisk.inf’ in ‘Notepad’ or any test editor you prefer (Notepad++ is ideal to be used here’ (download from ‘notepad-plus-plus.org’).
-Now locate the words ‘device_instance_id_goes_here’, which is available on line 26. You need to replace these words with the string you just copied to the clipboard from the Device Manager. Save the file and close the editor.

-Now go back to the ‘Device Manager’ page (repeat step 1). This time click on the ‘Driver’ tab and click the button ‘Update driver’

-On the next window, choose ‘Browse my computer for driver software’ when the system asks how you want to search for the driver software. Then on the next window, choose ‘Let me pick from a list of drivers …. ‘.

-On the next window, uncheck the box ‘Show compatible hardware’ and click on the ‘Have disk button’. Now click on ‘Browse’ and from the universal USB driver folder on your desktop select the ‘cfadisk.inf’ file and click on the ‘Open button’, followed by the ‘OK’ and then ‘Next’ buttons on the previous windows.

-An update driver warning message should show up stating that you are trying to install a driver, which is not compatible with your hardware. Ignore the message and click on ‘Yes’. The system will start installing the driver and show up another warning that the driver is not a verified or authentic driver. Ignore this one message and click on ‘Install this driver software anyway’. Let the system update the driver and you shall receive a message of a successful driver update.

Note: You can use this modified driver for this pen drive only. To use another pen drive, you will need to do the whole process again.

-That’s all you needed to do. Now once you are back to the ‘Computer Management’ window, click on ‘Disk Management’ from the left pane and start partitioning your pen drive as you would with a regular hard drive. You can create multiple partitions and format them, accordingly.
Partiitioning the flash drive, like you would a hard drive

Note: You can access all the partitions on the pen drive only from your PC. Other PCs will only be able to see the first partition and the rest will be unavailable. Make a copy of the driver on the first partition of the pen drive and you can install it on other PCs, in case you need to access the other partitions.

This way, you can plug in the pen drive on your friend’s PCs without worrying about your private data. To reset everything back to the way it was, simply delete the partitions completely and uninstall/delete the driver for the pen drive from the Device Manager.

How to change the default font in Microsoft Excel

E
xcel's default font setting got changed. Obviously you can manually choose your desired font each time you start a new worksheet, but that's a hassle.

In Word, you can change the default font via the font settings window, which is logical. However, when you access the same area in Excel (which you can do by pressing Ctrl-Shift-F), you'll find no such option.

Fortunately, it's not difficult to make the change if you know where to look. (Note that this info applies to Excel 2010 and 2013; I'm not sure if it's the
same in earlier versions.)

1. Start Excel and open any new or existing workbook.
2. Click File, Options.
3. In the General section, look for "When creating new workbooks." The very first option: "Use this as the default font."
Choose the font you want, then click OK. (You an also modify the default font size if you want.)

Now, whenever you start a new workbook, Excel should default to that font..

shop online without a credit card

There are good reasons not to use a credit card online--or at all. Shopping online increases the odds that someone will steal your credit card number. You may want to make a purchase without your spouse knowing about it. And the buy-now-pay-later aspect of credit cards encourage some people to dangerously overspend.
But the online economy is very much a credit card economy. If you're going to buy a song, book, tablet, or just about anything online, you'll be expected to enter a credit card number.

Before we get to the good options, let's discuss an obvious but very bad one: your ATM card. Sure, it has a 16-digit number and can be used as a credit card. But it's a debit card, with the money coming out of your bank account immediately with each charge. If a thief gets your number, he or she could empty your account before you know what happened. Not so with a real credit card, where you pay nothing until you see the monthly bill and can challenge suspicious charges.

Instead, ask your bank to set you up with a secondary account for online purchases, and keep only a small amount in that account. The account would need its own ATM card, with its own credit card number. Just make sure this account lacks overdraft protection; you don't want money moving automatically from your real account into this one.

Another option: Sign up for Paypal, connecting it to your bank account. Not all retail sites support Paypal, but the payment service can give you a debit card that you can use in place of a credit card.

Finally, you can use gift cards, which you can buy at old-fashioned brick-and-mortar stores. You can even buy these with cash.

I checked my local Safeway, and found gift cards for various pre-paid amounts for Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Ebay, Hulu Plus, iTunes, and others. They also sell pre-paid Visa cards, which you could purchase for any amount between $20 to $500. The Visa cards come with a $4 purchase charge; the retailer-specific cards cost nothing beyond the shopping power of the card..

How to manually lower Netflix's streaming bit rate

You can indeed change Netflix's buffer rate on the fly, while you're using the desktop (i.e. browser-based) player.

All you do is press Alt-Shift and then left-click in the player window. In the pop-up Diagnostics menu that appears, click Stream Manager.
Next, click the Manual Selection box, then try lowering the bit rate a few notches. ClickApply and you should have fewer pauses in the playback. If not, try lowering it a bit further still.
This method can also help if your ISP saddles you with a particularly restrictive bandwidth cap. If you typically go over your data limit each month, lower the bit rate. (You can make a more permanent change by venturing into your Netflix account settings and choosingManage Video Quality, though you don't get nearly as many choices here.)
Granted, not many people will need to monkey with these kinds of settings, but if you're not blessed with high-speed Internet or you need to keep a close eye on that data cap, it's nice to know these settings are so readily accessible.

Xerox to patch scanner glitch that can alter numbers

The problem was uncovered last week by a computer science student in Germany. He used a Xerox WorkCentre scanner to create a PDF of a building floor plan, and noticed some of the fine print in the document had been reproduced incorrectly in the PDF. The text that gave the area size of each room had been duplicated in some cases, so that all the rooms were given the same area.

The error resulted from how the scanner’s JBIG2 image compression algorithm works at high compression settings. If it determines two parts of a document are identical, it makes one compressed version and reuses it across all the similar areas.
Xerox acknowledged the problem Tuesday and on Wednesday said it would issue a software patch.

“Xerox is developing a software patch that can be remotely downloaded to each device,”the company said in a blog post. “The software patch will disable the highest compression mode thus completely eliminating the possibility for character substitution. Xerox will begin rolling out the patch within a few weeks.”

The problem does not occur when the machines are used for printing, copying or sending faxes. It only occurs when scanning, and when the highest compression and lowest image quality are selected, which has to be done manually, the company said.

“You will not see a character substitution issue when scanning with the factory default settings. We provide safeguards to avoid problems such as these. Customers should check their device(s) to ensure the factory default settings have not been changed,” it said.

Xerox said it is also developing a guide to help customers check their current scanner settings. It will be available this week.

“We apologize for any confusion and inconvenience this has caused our customers. We are working tirelessly to address these issues—working closely with our partners and customer service teams across the globe to both proactively inform customers as well as help them solve the issue,” the company said.

Facebook launches Graph Search to all English-speaking users

Graph Search provides a way for users to search for various topics and interests across the site based on their existing connections and friends. Graph Search lets users submit their queries in plain English, so people can search for things like, “Friends who live in my city,” or “Hotels in San Francisco visited by my friends,” or even, “Music liked by people who like the music that I like,” Facebook notes.
The company began rolling out the tool to a limited number of people in January. At an introductory press conference at Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park, California, CEO Mark Zuckerberg described Graph Search as an early stage feature that is still years away from being complete.

“Graph Search is a really big project, and it’s going to take years and years to index the whole map of the graph,” he said at the time.

Following Wednesday’s expansion, people can continue to search for friends and Pages by name, Facebook said, or use simple phrases to find something specific across people, photos, places, interests and more.
Privacy worries
Since its unveiling, Facebook has had to address tough questions over Graph Search’s privacy implications. One major issue is the extent to which the tool makes it easier for people to unearth content or information about others who do not want that content to be seen.

Graph Search is designed to only let people see content that they could see before, and users can only search for content that has been shared with them.
Facebook in February, for instance, assured users that the tool does not compromise the privacy rights of minors. Any information that could identify a young person by age or by location will only be shared with that person’s friends of friends if the searcher is between the ages of 13 and 17, the company said.

In its announcement Wednesday of Graph Search’s expansion, Facebook reiterated that it introduced new privacy controls last December. Some of those tools were designed to make it easier for users to manage who can see their content or message them.

Facebook is working to further develop Graph Search such as by letting it search across posts, comments and mobile. As the company does that, “we encourage everyone to use your privacy shortcuts and Activity Log to review and adjust whom you have shared with, including status updates,” Facebook said Wednesday.

Encrypt / Decrypt Options to Right-Click Menu

If you use the built-in file encryption in Windows 7 or Vista, you might be interested in adding an option to the right-click menu to more easily encrypt and decrypt your files, rather than having to use the file properties dialog.
Open up regedit.exe through the start menu search box, and then find the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
In the right-hand pane, create a new 32-bit DWORD value called EncryptionContextMenu and give it a value of 1.Now when you right-click on a file, you’ll see a new option called Encrypt.

When you choose this option, you’ll receive the following dialog, asking if you want to encrypt just the file, or also the parent folder. You can also choose just the file as the default.
Once the files are encrypted, you’ll notice that the title of the file is now green, indicating that it’s been encrypted. The right-click option will also now change to Decrypt.

You Can Also Download .Reg File From Here

Restore Previous Versions of the Registry

If you want to manually restore a specific section of the registry from a previous System Restore snapshot, or access some specific keys from an older version of the registry, you can do so by getting access to those files and then exporting sections from them. Here’s how to do it in Windows 7 or Vista.
Since Windows 7 and Vista utilize Shadow Copy, otherwise known as Volume Snapshot Service, to power the “Previous Versions” feature, there are snapshots of important files taken over time, including registry hives, so we can access the older versions of registry files this way without having to do a full System Restore.

Access Previous Registry Hives from Shadow Copy
Important Note: before we get started, we should really give you a disclaimer: you should not use this technique unless you know what you’re doing and are willing to deal with possible problems, or at least have some good backups of your files. Still here? Read on.

The first thing you’re going to want to do is disable User Account Control, because you can’t really access the folders otherwise. Once you’ve done that and rebooted, open up a new Windows Explorer window and head to the following folder:
C:\Windows\System32\Config
Right-click anywhere in the white space area of the folder, choose Properties from the menu, and then click the Previous Versions tab. Once you’re there, double-click the appropriate folder (Hint: Look at the Date modified field to decide which version of the files you want to restore.)
Select the registry hive files you need, and copy them to a folder of your choice.
Click OK when you see the Windows Security prompt.
And now you should have a folder containing the backup registry keys.
Now that you have the backup versions of the registry, you can use them to access the older version.

Loading a Registry Hive and Accessing Specific Keys
At this point you can load the entire registry hive into the registry, which will make it a sub-key of one of the main sections, and allow you to access settings from the older version. Open up the Registry Editor using regedit.exe in the Start Menu search or run boxes, click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE or HKEY_USERS, and then use File –> Load Hive.
You’ll be prompted to give the new hive a name—for this example I just used test.
And just like that, you can see the new key with the contents from last week’s backup copy. So, for instance, if one of the settings or license keys for an application was lost, we can find it by browsing through the keys for that application. You’ll have to manually make the changes if you’re doing just a few keys.
If you are trying to use this method to restore large chunks of the registry, you can export a key, modify the exported file to have the correct key path instead of Test, and then import it again. It’s a bit of a pain, but might be helpful if you need to.
Once you’re done, you should make absolutely certain to delete this entire key, or else it’s going to add a lot of extra bloat to your registry that you really don’t need.

Access the Previous Version’s Registry Keys Through the Command Line
Instead of loading the registry key using the GUI and adding all those keys to your current registry, you can use the RegFileExport tool from Nirsoft to access and extract the data from the backup files directly—you’ll just need to know the exact key that you’re looking for
So, for example, if you wanted to access the list of currently installed programs from the Programs and Features dialog. You’d run a command like this against the saved backup copy of the SOFTWARE registry hive—assuming you have the command-line application in the same directory as the backup file:
regfileexport SOFTWARE ExportedKey.reg “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall”
This will generate a regular .reg file that you can either double-click to enter the contents into the registry, or you can open it up and find specific keys that you might want to use.

How to Clean Up Windows Context Menu

One of the most irritating things about Windows is the context menu clutter that you have to deal with once you install a bunch of applications. It seems like every application is fighting for a piece of your context menu, and it’s not like you even use half of them.
Today we’ll explain where these menu items are hiding in your registry, how to disable them the geeky way, and an easier cleanup method for non-geeks as well.
Either way, your context menu won’t look like this one anymore…

Tools Required:

Cleaning the Context Menu by RegistryIf you want to clean things up the truly geeky way, you can open up regedit.exe through the start menu search or run box, and then browse down to one of the following keys… sadly the context menu items are not stored in a single location.
Most of the menu items that used for all files and folders can be found by looking at one of these keys:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFileSystemObjects\ShellEx
Items that are specific to folders can usually be found in one of these keys instead:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

The context menu items found at these different locations will need to be handled differently, and we’ll explain how, so keep reading!

Dealing with “shell” Items
Let’s take a look at one item as an example… if you browse down to the shell key under Directory you’ll see the items for Add to VLC media player and Play with VLC. Items under the regular “shell” key are usually really easy to spot, and easy to deal with.
If you want to hide one of these items so that you’ll have to Shift+Right-Click, then you can add a new string value on the right-hand side and name it “Extended”

If you’d like to disable it instead, but don’t want to delete the key, you can add a new string value and call it “LegacyDisable”.

And, you could just delete the whole key if you really wanted to… but I’d export a copy just in case.

Dealing with “shellex” Items
You probably noticed the other registry keys above that have “shellex” (Shell Extension) in the name instead of just “shell”. Those types of keys will need to be handled differently… for an example, we’ll head down to one of the keys mentioned above:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
These items will be a little more tough to decipher… but you can usually figure out an item by the key name on the left, and then just modify the (Default) value by putting a few dashes in front of it, which will disable the item without actually deleting anything.
By The example, clicked on 7-ZIP on the left, and by putting dashes in front of the value data I’ve disabled that menu item.

You’ll want to go through each location in the list at the top of this article until you figure out where exactly the offending items are located. At that point, you can use one of the tricks we mentioned in order to disable that item.

Dealing With Specific File Type Items
Sometimes, although not often, the menu items are located on the registry key for a specific file type. In that case you’ll need to first locate the file extension key by looking under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT for that extension, which will tell you the name of the key that you need to look for.

For instance, if I wanted to remove a menu item for Excel documents (.xls) I would look at this registry key, which gives me the name of the actual key to look under…
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.xls
As you can see above, the actual type of the file is “Excel.Sheet.8″, so I’ll then browse down to this registry key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Excel.Sheet.8\shell
And now I can use the same techniques as above to disable items under “shell”… remember LegacyDisable and Extended? Yep, those work here.

Cleaning Up the Context Menu the Easy Way
Instead of hacking the registry, you can use two different NirSoft utilities to clean up the context menu. Sadly, some of the menu items are implemented as Explorer shell extensions (like the “shellex” keys we explained above), and some are implemented as regular context menu items (like the regular “shell” keys we explained above).
The first tool we will check out is ShellMenuView, which allows us to manage all of those “shell” key items with an easy to use interface.Just browse down until you find the offending item, then click the Disable button… which will actually create a LegacyDisable key just like we explained in the manual section above.
You’ll see that those items are instantly disabled:
Next, we need to disable those “shellex” or Shell Extensions, using another great Nirsoft utility appropriately called ShellExView. This one works the same exact way as the first utility… just click on the Disable button to remove the items.
After using both of these utilities for just a few minutes, I was able to get my context menu back to the pristine “new install” state.

Add Any Application to Desktop Right-Click Menu

If you want really quick access to launch a frequently used application without putting extra icons on your desktop, you can add that application to the context menu for the desktop with a simple registry hack. Here’s how to do it.

Let's See how to add Notepad to the menu, but you could add any applications you want instead. The first thing you’ll want to do is:O

pen up regedit.exe through the Start Menu search or run box.
Browse down to the following key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell
Next, you’ll want to create a new key underneath the shell key, the name of which is exactly what is going to show up on the desktop menu. Right-click on the “shell” key, and then choose New \ Key from the menu.
Give the new key the name that you want to show up on the desktop context menu. For this example we’ll be using Notepad.

If you want to assign an “Alt” key to this menu entry for quicker access, you can change the (Default) value on the right and put an & character in front of the key you want to use. For instance, if you wanted to be able to just use the N key to launch Notepad once the desktop context menu pops up, you can do this:
Personally I don’t find this terribly useful since you have to use the mouse to right-click on the desktop… may as well just use the mouse to click the item. Still, for completeness I’ve included it.Next you’ll need to create the command key that will actually hold the command used to launch the application. Right-click on the new Notepad key, and then choose New \ Key from the menu.
Give this key the name “command” in lowercase.
To complete this step you’ll need the full path to the application that you want to launch. You can use Shift + Right-Click to get the Copy as Path menu item to find this more quickly.Note: of course, for Notepad you wouldn’t need the full path, but this is just an example.
Now click on “command” on the left side, and then double-click on the (Default) key in the right side to edit the string value.
Paste in the full path to the executable that you got from the “Copy as Path” step above, or you can put in the full path yourself if you’d like.

And right-clicking on the desktop will produce the new menu item… naturally, using this menu item should launch Notepad.

How to Kill Windows with the Blue Screen of Death

Have you ever wanted to show off your keyboard ninja skills by taking down Windows with just a couple of keystrokes? All you have to do is add one registry key, and then you can impress your friends… or use it to convince people to switch to Linux.

This isn’t a bug, it’s a “feature” in Windows that is designed to let users trigger a crash dump for testing purposes. There’s even a whole Microsoft KB article on the subject.

To enable this feature,
Open up regedit.
Browse down to one of these keys, depending on your keyboard type:
USB Keyboard
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\kbdhid\Parameters

PS/2 Keyboard
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters
Now right-click on the right-hand pane and add a new DWORD key namedCrashOnCtrlScroll, giving it a value of 1.
Reboot your computer,
and when it starts back up you can trigger the Blue Screen of Death by using the following keyboard shortcut:Hold down Right Ctrl and hit Scroll Lock twice
To remove this “feature” you can just delete the registry key and then restart your computer again.

How to Disable All Notification Balloons in Windows 7 or Vista

If you find the popup notification balloons in the Windows system tray to be too annoying, you might be interested to know that you can completely disable them.
This would be an extreme option, of course… typically you can just turn them off in any offending applications, but if you want to disable them across the board, Following is the solution.
Procedure:
Open up regedit.exe through the start menu search or run box.
Browse down to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
Right-click on the right-hand pane, and create a new 32-bit DWORD with the following values:
Name: EnableBalloonTips
Value: 0
You’ll have to logoff and back on in order to see the change… or to be more correct, you won’t see any popup balloons anymore.

Display a Text Message At Logon In Windows 7

Sometimes you might want to leave a text message for a user before they log into a Windows 7 computer. Here Is a trick that allows you to leave a message they can read before logging in.

Add a Text Message
To add a message, click on Start and enter regedit into the Search box and hit Enter.
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies\System and double-click on legalnoticecaption. In the Value data field enter in the header you want…for instance your company name or the name of your computer…whatever you want it to be, then click OK.
Then double-click on legalnoticetext …
And in the Value data field enter in the message you want to display and click OK. Close out of Registry Editor and reboot the computer.

After the machine reboots you’ll see the text message you just created at the Welcome screen.
You can include whatever text message you want to be included for the user to read before they log in.

Protect your children using internet filter software

According to TopTenREVIEWS Google Analytics data reveals a dramatic increase – indeed a 4,700% jump – in searches for the term "porn" in the days immediately following the end of school for most students. While falling short of scientific proof, it's a strong indicator of what many youngsters may be doing on their summer vacation.
There could be many explanations for this dramatic change in numbers, but there is no question it coincides with the time most schools get out.
Since parents are busy and cannot constantly stand guard over computer use, a little electronic help might come in handy. Internet filter software can offer some reassurance to parents that their children are protected from material that parents deem objectionable.
The internet filter software on the market today allows parents to block websites and chat rooms that parents deem inappropriate. This software can do much more including such things as filtering emails, monitoring social media sites and sending parents email alerts if someone using a computer is accessing objectionable content.
Academic studies have shown that young people who are exposed to sexually explicit material before age 18 are more likely to become promiscuous, get pregnant, test positive for a sexually transmitted disease and engage in forced sex.
Nothing takes the place of heart-to-heart talks between parents and children about values, human sexuality and the things that are considered healthy, respectful and worthwhile according to a particular family’s principles.
However, internet filter software can shield children from images, language, videos and other depictions of behaviors that are contrary to the parents’ standards. It could be another tool to help parents get involved in the already complicated task of trying to raise healthy, well-adjusted children.
Dr. Mary Anne Layden, director of the Sexual Trauma and Psychopathology Program,
Center for Cognitive Therapy in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania, is the author of “The Social Costs of Pornography: A Statement of Findings and Recommendations.”
"There is evidence that the prevalence of pornography in the lives of many children and adolescents is far more significant than most adults realize, that pornography is deforming the healthy sexual development of these young viewers, and that it is used to exploit children and adolescents,” Layden wrote.

How does it deform them?
In a telephone interview, Layden said academic studies show that there are 23 unhealthy behaviors that people exposed to "sexualized media" before the age of 18 are more likely to display. These can include a greater likelihood to have sex earlier in life, have multiple partners, engage in forced sex, test positive for Chlamydia, be more accepting of sexual harassment and become juvenile offenders.
“Are any of those things the kind of things we want for our kids?” Layden said. “My own research shows that pornography is mis-education about sex. It lies about sex.”
For example, she said pornography shows that women love to be degraded and violently hurt, which is not true in real life. It also depicts men as vicious, narcissistic and out of control – which is also not true, she said.
“This is hate speech against men and hate speech against women,” Layden said. “It sends the wrong message about people, relationships and functions. Porn doesn’t say anything about love or commitment or caring. It also doesn’t say anything about producing children.”
The blunt-talking and often controversial Layden said she tells parents, “You’ve got to say to children: ‘There won’t be any porn in this home’” and then take strong measures to keep it away from impressionable youngsters.
“It’s good to talk to the kids, but I think prevention is 100 percent better,” Layden said.

With Internet filter softwares you can
Block web sites in more than 70 categories, including pornography, gambling, drugs, violence/hate/racism, malware/spyware, phishing
Force SafeSearch on all major search engines
Set time restrictions to block web access during designated times
Configure custom lists for "always allow" and "always block"
Override a web page block with password
Trust the enhanced anti-tampering, even children can't break
View easy reports to monitor and control web activity
Real-time categorization of new adult and malicious sites

Copy from Right Click Disabled Blog or Websites

Copy-pasting some body else work is very common. Though, very few people actually give the credit link or mention about the source. Specially, in Blogging people copy each other content and increase plagiarism. Apart from all Auto-bloggging tool, most common form of copying a page is by selecting text > mouse right-click and copy the content. Though in WordPress, we can easily disable this by using disable right click WordPress plugin. Though according to me right click gives a bad user experience and for Bloggers, you can always fight such copy-paste blogger using Google DMCA.
Now for me, when I have to write a tutorial, I take information from the pages on Internet and give proper credentials with link in the post. Now, the problem which I have faced recently is many of these sites have right click disabled and it’s pain to copy from these sites normally. So, here I have compiled a series of possible ways to copy content from those pages. FYI, many websites disable CTRL +C options to ensure better security from hackers and malicious sites.

Method to copy text from Right click Disabled pages:
1.Most of the bloggers and webmasters uses JavaScript technique to disable right-click, to prevent scrapers sites from stealing their content.
Many times we often come to websites where we found contents useful like how-to , Guides and we copy it into worded or notepad. Generally we select some text and then right click to copy. But on Protected sites a message box appears saying “Right-Click on this site is disabled. Hold Ctrl key and click on link to open in new tab”
But there are numerous way through one can copy contents from Right Click protected sites

2.By disabling browser JavaScript in browser And Using Proxy
Disabling JavaScript in Browsers
In Chrome browser, you can quickly disable JavaScript by going to settings. See the screenshot for better explanation:
Goto Setting >> UnderHood Tab >> Content Settingsor enter chrome://settings/content
Then Select Do not allow any site to run JavaScript
Similarly if you are using Firefox, you can remove the tick from “Enable JavaScript” option.
Using Proxy
There are many proxy sites, which let you disable JS while browsing. All you need to use those proxy sites, which offer such features and you can quickly use right-click on click disabled sites.
If you have to copy the specific text content and you can take care of HTML tags, you can use browser view source options. All the major browser give an option to source of the page, which you can access directly using the format below or by right click. Since, right click is out of question here, we will simply open chrome browser and type: view-source: before the post URL Like
And find the paragraph or text you want to copy and then paste it into any text editor.
Well, using this trick ethically or unethically is in user hand but for a normal blogger like me and you, this tip will certainly help.

3.Visit that webpage.
Press Ctrl+S on your keyboard.
Save the webpage anywhere on your computer.
Now open the downloaded webpage. You can copy or you can do anything.

OR
If Not Work Then Save it And Rename As .docx
Open It With Ms-Word
Now Copy The Whole Text .

Burn ISO Images to Discs Without Softwares

The most painful part of earlier Windows was with the handling of CD/DVD’s, where you have always needed the help of some 3rd party tools, even to burn a ISO image to a disc. Thankfully, Windows 7 addresses that problem internally. Even burning discs is smooth and refined to a greater extent. Two modes of burning – Live File System and Mastered formats are allowed.

For Burning ISO Images :
* Insert an empty DVD/CD into the drive.
* Double Click the ISO image, choose the drive with the blank disc, click Burn and watch as your disc is created. Windows Disc Image Burner will need to be set as the default program with all of it associations (.iso & .img) set to it for this to work. It is by default in Windows 7.
For Live File System Formats :
1.Insert an empty DVD/CD into the drive.
2. In the AutoPlay dialog box that appears, click Burn files to disc using Windows Explorer. If the AutoPlay dialog box doesn’t appear, click the Start button , clickComputer, and then double-click your disc burner.
3. In the Burn a Disc dialog box, type a name for this disc in the Disc title box, click Like a USB flash drive, and then click Next. This is the option for burning a disc that uses the Live File System disc format. It might take several minutes for the disc to be formatted. When the formatting is complete, an empty disc folder opens.
4. You can either Copy-Paste, Drag-Drop files from your folders into the Empty Discfolder. You can finalize the burning of the disc at the end by following the Onscreen instructions that come along with it.

For Mastered Format :
* After Steps 1,2 and 3 as above, Click Mastered, and then click Next. An empty disc folder opens.
* Open the folder that contains the files you want to burn, and then drag the files into the empty disc folder.
On the toolbar, click Burn to disc. The selected files are copied to the disc. When the disc burning is complete, the disc burner tray will open and you can remove the disc. You can now use the disc in another computer or media device. This type of disc does not need to be closed.

How To Change Default Folder of Windows Explorer

It’s a common feature for Windows to open the Libraries views on default, but most of the times, we may be requiring some other folder to open in default view and here’s how you do it :
1. Open any folder and right click on the folder icon in the task bar. Then again right click over the “Windows Explorer” and select “properties“. or
Search “Windows Explorer” in start menu and right click on it and select “properties“.
2.In the Properties tab, select the “shortcut” tab. Here you can see the Default location of the Explorer in the “Target” Field. We just need to change that field for our required purpose.
The new locations which needs to be entered are GUIDs (Globally Unique Identifier’s) which can be obtained for any folder through the Registry Directory. It was these codes which we have used in our earlier part to enable hidden God-Modes.Click Here To View How to Enable God Mode.

This is how you obtain them :
1. Open “Run” from start menu and enter “Regedit” to enter the registry editor. Go to Edit >> Find and type in a example key like the one below :
{E96F5460-09CE-4f46-88B1-F4B6B4A8E252}
This key refers to the Windows Media Player. but you can dig around for more pre-set default folder locations
2. Copy the key of the desired folder and enter the target field with a vale like this :
%windir%\explorer.exe ::{208D2C60-3AEA-1069-A2D7-08002B30309D}
The example shown above opens the “Network” folder. Just change the Key value and keep the first part ” %windir%\explorer.exe ::” as it is.
3. You can also open Specific folders without the need of keys by replacing the “FOLDER” name with your desired folder location like this :
%windir%\explorer.exe C:\FOLDER
Just change the location “C:\FOLDER” to any desired location and save your settings.

Repartition drives without formatting and fragmentation

This article features creation of Disk Partition without the necessity of formatting your entire Hard drive. It saves your entire data from getting lost whilst saving your time too. It’s a very easy task too, without any need for calling a techie for help.
Disk Partition
Have you Cluttered your entire drive with content and do not know what should be your next step? It’s obviously Disk Partition. Just make drives of specific volumes and dump your files into the respective drives. In the earlier versions, It was no less a headache to partition your drives.
Company-made Branded PC’s offer a single and sometimes  dual drives before shipping, but our requirements may need little more than that. Third party apps were available to make those partitions possible without formatting the entire drives but had their own side-effects which could put your PC at risk.
It’s possible in Windows 7 to repartition your hard disk by using the Shrink feature in Disk Management. You can shrink an existing partition or volume to create unallocated disk space, from which you can create a new partition or volume.
1. Go to Disk Management
Go to Start >Computer, right click over it and select “Manage“. Select Disk Management from the side bar.
You can also open Computer Management by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, clicking Administrative Tools, and then double-clicking Computer Management.
2. Shrink Volume
Select the drive you need to make a partition and right click over it to select “Shrink Volume“. It opens a new window which shows the amount of volumes to make changes. You can now shrink the existing drive to your desired limit and the rest becomes the free space to create a new drive.
3. Creating a New Drive
After entering the values in the Shrink Window, click on the option “ Shrink ” and wait for the process to complete. The time taken for the operation may be long depending upon the size of the disk and the space to be shrunk. Once the operation is completed a window appears showing unallocated space and the value is exactly the one you entered earlier. Select this unallocated space and on right clicking on it click on the option “ New Simple Volume “.
A wizard will open up. Go through the wizard and fill in the values required. Usually the value needed to enter is the same one that you entered as the volume to be shrunk. The drive newly created needs a letter to be assigned to it. Assign any letter of your choice as it does not make any difference.A Format page will appear and in it carefully notice that the File System selected is “NTFS ” . After this is done enter a name for your drive and then click on ” Next ” and then “Finish “.
Partition takes time depending on the volume of the drive and amount of volume to shrink in the existing drive. You have now successfully created a partition without formatting.

Disable metro style in window 8

The metro style UI is the new break through user interface that Microsoft has offered along with its new Windows 8 operating system but sadly it has not come up to everyone’s liking. Removing it will render the new OS unstable and rather unusable. So here I outline some ways to remove this new add on without permanently scarring the system. All the methods outlined below are totally reversible.

It is important to know that the following methods men changing registry values and in doing so you can bring harm to the system if you make a mistake. Windows 8 is still in a preview only mode, not even in the public beta. Primarily this is a version to get the developers familiar with the new environment and give them an idea on what to expect.

One who has already used Windows 8 knows that if you exit the new Metro UI, a classical windows 7 interface lurks beneath it. The main difference being that now the start button launches the Metro UI instead of the start menu. Following this tutorial will let you configure the start button to disable the metro UI and to call upon once more the classic windows 7 style start menu. You may revert back any time by reversing the process. Here is how you can get the classic menu:
Steps To Disable Metro UI in Windows 8
1. First, press the Start + R buttons, to open the Run menu.
2. In the Run window, type “regedit” and hit Enter.
3. Now scroll on the top of the list and double click on “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE”. This will expand the folder.
4. Do the same for “SOFTWARE “.
5. In the list, search for “Microsoft” and open it.
6. Now using the same procedure, navigate to Windows->CurrentVersion->Explorer and some registry entries will appear in the right side of the screen.
7. Click on the one called “RPenabled” and change its value from “1″ to “0″.

This will cause the metro UI to be replaced with a familiar looking Windows 7 start menu. To revert this all you need to do it to change the value of RPenabled back to 1.

If this seems too hard one can always download a program called start menu selector available from DeviantArt that is a portable utility to switch between these two menus with the click of a button. This software basically just does the same steps detailed above.

Simply download the program from the website, extracts the folders contents and click the executable. This also adds a quicker option for switching between menus when you right click anywhere on the desktop. To ensure that it gets the job done make sure that you use it with admin privelages.

Browse Google Maps Offline In Android

Is one of my favorite apps when it comes to Android. Let’s just say it would make it to the top three if I were to create a list someday. It has an incredible number of cool features which are exclusive to the Android version of the app.
The only problem at times one can face is poor or no network connectivity while using Maps on the go and in such cases, the app fails to serve its purpose. As you know, both GPS and 3G/WiFi connection work in tandem in the background when you use the app to find directions. The GPS feeds your coordinates to the app, and they are in-turn displayed using a visual map that’s loaded from the server using a data connection. That’s why lack of internet connectivity can make the app pointless.
Although the app does create a cache by default when you are connected using a WiFi connection, it’s not easy to zoom down to all the levels manually and cache the desired area. Google maps 5.0 introduced the offline feature, but it’s not accessible directly. Here’s how you can use the feature and precache (download) an area of the map before you hit the roads.
How to Download the Map For Offline Use
1: Make sure you are connected to a WiFi network and open Google Maps on
your Android. Although it’s not mandatory to connect to a WiFi network, it’ll be cost effective when compared to 3G in this case. The bottom line – ensure that you are online on the phone.
2: On the app, press the menu button and select Settings. On the Google Maps settings, select labs and enable the Precache Map Area option.
3: Having done that, return to map view and navigate to the
area you want to save for offline use. Long press at the approx. center of the area you would travel to (for example, if you are traveling to a city, make sure you are selecting the heart of the city on the map) and wait for the map to load the address of that spot on the map.
4: Once the address is loaded, click on it to open the detailed view and select the optionPrecache map area (you will see this feature only when you have enabled the feature from labs). Google Maps will then download 10-mile area radius around the selected address (represented by a square box) and once the download is complete, you can have a look at all the details in the cached area even without an internet connection.

Deleting a Cached Map
As map caching takes a considerable amount of space on the internal SD card, it’s always advisable to delete the cached area once you are done with them.
To delete a precached map navigate to Map Settings—>Cache—>Precached map area and then press the red cross next to an address.
Conclusion
So next time you are planning a trip, doesn’t matter where, it’s always advisable to cache the area of the map before you et started. You never know when your network might betray you in the middle of the woods.
